‘’Art is a fundamental part of a child’s complete education’’.
Who we are
The initiative for establishing a Cultural Center for the Children and the
Art in Glyfada began in 2014 by a group of dedicated volunteers, in respond to
the necessity that a children's museum is considered as the "most needed
facility" as the access to Culture is the "most needed good".
DCCCA is a non-profit cultural organization who relies on the
support of the community through memberships and donations, and the support of
local corporations and foundations.
Our Vision
“We aim to make the visit to the museum
an irresistible experience. We are adopting the Philosophy that “learning must
be relevant—to the technologies that shape our kids’ lives, the passions that
fuel their ambitions and the demands of life in the 21st century’’.*

Exhibitions and programmes are intended to encourage cognitive, physical and emotional development
through playing, with an emphasis in History of Art.
By encouraging and enhancing a child's innate
curiosity and competence, we hope to nurture the skills that lead to personal cultivation,
and to a lifetime love for the Arts.
Our Mission
Exhibitions will be geared towards children birth to
age eighteenth and their families. DCCCA will offer a variety of programmes
throughout the year including early learning classes, summer camps, drop-off
and whole-family science workshops, free art programs and many special events
including movies, concerts and holiday programs.
Accessibility
DCCCA emphasizes inclusion, as visitors of
all ages to play, learn, imagine, and create together with programmes geared to
integrate special needs children and their families into the life of the Culture.
Our Scope
DCCCA will be recognized as the premier institution serving young children (0-18) and their families, while inspiring and motivating children to learn the History of Art through digital gaming, literacy, music and education.
DCCCA encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine, and create together by offering interactive exhibitions, digital gaming programmes, and learning materials related to arts.
Their visit will be mainly independent on digital tools, game - based learning and interaction, empowering them to experience art by themselves.
Whole
Family Learning
DCCCA encourages learning that engages the whole family – children, their parents and their broader family– and offers opportunities for children and adults to learn together, the History of Art. Understanding that each individual learns differently, our exhibits and programs meet the needs of different age groups and learning styles.
Using clever software and GPS, the devices will
automatically detect where you are standing in the Center and offer information
about nearby artworks. You can interact with the touch screen tables, get
involved in the creation of a digital game, digital treasure’s hunting, hear
interviews, music, and even rate whether or not you like each piece of art. All
data is uploaded randomly, making the information you are reading different to
everyone else around you.
ARToys Store
In our ARToys store you can find toys,
objects and books inspired from the History of Art.
